Hey! Welcome to my site! This is my first time blogging so I’m pretty excited, but still new to everything, so bear with me if I make some mistakes. First, a little about me:

I love the written word, and have an insatiable obsession with food and travel. I am lucky enough to have found my equal, a Siberian immigrant, US Army veteran, and Columbia University educated man who asked me to marry him while on vacation in Paris. He shares my passions of food and travel, and is usually the guinea pig for my recipes. I’ll refer to him as The Russian (a la Carrie Bradshaw) to (somewhat) protect his privacy.

I also own a pet hedgehog who consumes a great deal of my time. He is the greatest, and his name is Ajax, after the Greek warrior.

All three of us live here:
In glorious Boston. (photo from Wikipedia Commons) Boston is a great foodie town. From traditional Italian in the North End to upscale whiskey bars in Fenway, there is really something for everyone. Being a college student, money is usually hard to come by, so in this blog I will do my best to focus on food that can be made or purchased for under $20. I love a good deal as much as the next person, and I don’t think spending a great deal of money is necessary to have great food : I spent a summer in NYC following food trucks in my spare time, trying some delicious cheap food all over the city. Food trucks are also around in Boston, so once the weather gets warm I’ll be running around finding trucks. In the meantime, there are wonderful places all over Boston that are indoors and cheap as well, and there are plenty of delicious foods to make at home that look harder than they actually are. The creation of food is sometimes even more fun than going out to eat, and inspiration for ideas can be found anywhere. I love The Pioneer Woman for fun cooking ideas and FoodPornDaily when I just want to drool over some delicious–looking eats.
That’s all for now! Stay tuned!
