Just wanted to re–blog this post from The Chive, a site I love, about tipping. Being a member of the restaurant industry in Boston, tipping is literally how I keep my lights on and The Russian fed. Needless to say, it’s important, and I find that not everyone, especially our foreign guests, are aware of the customs here in the grand old USA. As someone who also loves to travel, this is a useful little guide to what is expected world wide for tipping, with a few factoids and surprising customs ( I didn’t know people have gotten in trouble for accepting tips in China). Check it out, then click around some more. You won’t regret it.
